We had the fish tacos and ceviche. Super fresh and delish. The ceviche had some light pepper sauce (ahi Amarillo maybe), which we loved. If you want a no frills, reasonably priced great lunch, this is your joint. ”

“ After having a disappointing experience with another restaurant, this place made up for it. It was super chill, the service was great and friendly. They have TVs to watch all the sports on. We ordered the Nachos with carne asada, the shrimp, Tri-tip, and Al pastor tacos. All amazing! The tacos looked so good we forgot to take pictures of them. Everything tasted fresh and clean and was nicely presented. Definitely would come back when again if in this a ”

“ I tried the 2 taco combo with 1 tofu taco and 1 potato black bean taco. The combo comes with lime rice and beans! The black beans are good but a little salty and the rice seemed to be overcooked because it was mushy. For the tacos, you can choose corn or flour. The corn tortillas seemed to be fresh and were pretty good! The tofu taco came with a corn salsa that was good, I just wish the tofu itself was either grilled more or had more flavor. The potato and black bean taco was really good! It was topped with cheese and some green. It was flavorful and I liked the different textures. ”

“ We went here on a Sunday evening and ordered it to go! By the time we got there, our food was ready! I got two Tofu and Corn Salsa Tacos! The tacos came with Black Beans and Mexican Rice also! The Corn Salsa was not too hot but still had a little kick to it. I also liked the Tofu in the taco as well! The Mexican Rice tasted good but it was a little mushy. ”

“ I enjoyed the fish burrito and homemade sauces. The burrito was pricey but justified based on the quality and taste. Staff is great, helpful and friendly. Great thing about this place is that there are parking spots available. There are indoor and outdoor seating and lots of neighboring restaurants and bars around. ”

“ First time trying the cute little Mexican casual restaurant on balboa peninsula. Emma was our server and she was very helpful. She told us that this place is owned by Bear Flag that has a store next to it and is the location of the original bear flag. We ordered their nachos with carnitas, the red snapper skillet and their steak fajitas with a pint of cerveza. They were all amazing. Good size. I am a nachos affacinado and these nachos were awesome. Food 5, ambiance 5, service 5. Will visit again. ”

“ my friend and i came here after our long beach day and decided we wanted food in newport. the carnitas was super tasty, and i liked that it wasn't too salty. the al pastor was a little on the chewier side, but was overall still very good. the beans and rice on the side were good as well, pretty standard. the servers were kind and attentive, and the food didn't take too long to come out. solid restaurant for sure. ”
